Administrative Assistant
Pay: $13.00–$15.00 per hour, with room for growth and advancement
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computers, learning new software systems, communicating professionally with families and staff, and keeping up with daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete and submit prior authorizations in a timely and accurate manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
- Complete routine audits and maintain accurate records
- Perform daily administrative tasks
- Enter, update, and maintain information in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members
- Utilize Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for daily administrative duties
- Learn and efficiently use new software, systems, and electronic processes
- Maintain organization and accuracy while managing multiple daily responsibilities
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to work comfortably in a fully or primarily electronic environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Ability and willingness to learn an EMR system and other office software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Previous medical office or administrative experience is preferred but not required
